Nurturing Community
Studio Etiquette for a Harmonious Experience

By embracing these guidelines with kindness and compassion, we create a harmonious and respectful environment where everyone can enjoy the transformative benefits of yoga.
Respecting Time
Arriving 5-10 minutes before class ensures a calm transition into your practice, allowing you to settle in and respect others' need for a serene start.
Respect Personal Space
Place your mat down quietly and mindfully, giving enough space for others to practice comfortably. Avoid stepping on others' mats as a gesture of respect for their personal space.
Practice Quietly
Maintain a quiet demeanor in the practice room to create a tranquil atmosphere. This helps everyone focus and enjoy their practice without distractions.
Practicing Self-Compassion
Honor your limits and avoid pushing yourself too hard. Listen to your body and take breaks when needed. Yoga is a personal journey, not a competition.
Clean Your Space
Wipe down your mat and any props used after class. Keeping the practice space clean and tidy shows respect for the shared space and the community.
Stay for the Entire Class
Try to stay for the entire duration of the class, including the final relaxation pose. If you must leave early, inform the teacher beforehand and do so quietly.
Engage with the Community
Take the time to greet fellow practitioners and build a supportive community. A simple smile or kind word can enhance the collective experience.
No Phones in Practice Room
Ensure all electronic devices are kept in the lockers provided. This helps maintain the serene atmosphere essential for a focused and mindful practice.
Keeping Space Clear
Bring only essential items into the practice room and store other belongings in the lockers provided. Keeping the space around you clear helps maintain a clutter-free and focused environment.
Mind Your Scent
Refrain from wearing strong perfumes or fragrances, as some practitioners may be sensitive or allergic to scents.
Follow the Teacher’s Guidance
Follow the teacher’s guidance with an open heart. They are here to support your practice and ensure everyone’s safety and growth.
Mindful Communication
Speak softly and kindly when communicating with others in the studio. Positive interactions contribute to a supportive and welcoming environment.
Practice Gratitude
End each session with a moment of gratitude for your practice, your body, the teacher and acknowledge other practitioners for sharing space with us. This fosters a positive, uplifting energy in the studio.
