Someone asked me this morning...

This morning, after my practice, a new practitioner asked a question, "Why do you do this to your body every day?" It caught me off guard, but later, as I sat with it, something clicked. Why not?

We often go through life believing we have time — time to take care of our health, time to slow down, time to connect with ourselves. We put off the things that matter most, thinking we can circle back to them later. But then you hear stories, regrets from those who waited too long to start, to care, to invest in themselves.

And I started thinking—if I don’t show up for myself every day, then who will?

The way I see it, daily practice isn't about pushing the body to its limits or ticking off another chore on a list. It’s about consciously deciding to carve out space for both my mind and body. In a world that’s constantly demanding more, why not choose to give back to ourselves?

Yes, it takes commitment. Yes, there are days when the mat feels miles away, but I know that if I don’t dedicate this time now, no one else is going to do it for me.

The body and mind need consistent care, not when it’s convenient, but as a daily practice.

Because once we lose that connection, once we neglect ourselves for too long, it can become harder to reclaim.

So, the real question isn’t, “Why do I practice every day?” The question is, “Why not?” Why not take a moment for your own well-being today? Why not give yourself the chance to feel better tomorrow?

Each practice is a reminder that self-care isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. We might think we have time, but the truth is, time isn’t something we’re guaranteed.

So why not start today?

Why not show up for yourself now?

Practice with me.
